| So what's with all the fish references? Not sure, except that for some reason I periodically have had to draw them for projects. And, I'm lucky enough to have a wife that is good at cleaning fish, on those rare occasions I actually catch one. But enough about fish. I have been in graphic design since 1990, after getting my BA in Studio Art and a certificate in Illustration/Graphic Design from the University of Minnesota. After that I moved to Austin, Texas, and worked as a graphic artist for the City of Austin and Sherry Matthews Advertising. Around 1996, fellow illustrator A.J. Garces and I started Havana Street, a retro clip art and stock illustration company. Also since 1996 I have been freelancing as a graphic designer. The first 6 years of my design career have been concentrated on print design, but in recent years, it has mostly been for the web. In August 2006, I moved, along with my wife and dog, to Portland, Oregon, where I am studying at Lewis & Clark Law School. I plan to finish in 2009, so please send any and all lucrative jobs my way, to help mitigate the deep financial hole I'm digging myself into.
